Ellie Kildunne combines with Canterbury for a world first

Ellie Kildunne has joined forces with Canterbury of New Zealand for the launch of a world-first boot collaboration.

The Harlequins and Red Roses star, who is back in England's starting XV for the World Cup semi-final against France, has worked with the boot manufacturer to create the CCC x Ellie Speed Elite, a limited-edition release designed for the game’s fastest players.

Available exclusively through selected retail partners, this boot combines cutting-edge performance innovation with Kildunne’s fearless style. With only 400 pairs distributed worldwide, these are a limited-edition boot.

The Boot is based on Canterbury’s best-selling Speed Elite

  • Electric. Fast. Exciting.
  • Even lighter than its predecessor - a 24g reduction.
  • New Cheetah-inspired upper reflects speed and agility.
  • Refined heel profile and cleaner toe box for improved fit and kicking precision.

Designed for players who are swift, agile and dynamic, Kildunne’s boot embodies strength, determination and creativity, offering the lightest, fastest Canterbury construction yet.

Kildunne said: “This is a really proud moment for me, and I’m really pleased with what we’ve been able to deliver with this new boot.

“Canterbury has always supported my creativity, and to have my own boot is something I’ve always dreamed of. I hope the fans like it, and we see a lot of players wearing the design for the upcoming season.”

Simon Rowe, SVP of Canterbury of New Zealand, added: “We are incredibly excited to launch this world-first boot. Ellie is world class and we are really lucky to have her as part of the Canterbury team.

“We have no doubt that by creating this boot - the first boot ever designed by a female player - we will continue to inspire the next generation of female athletes, which is a priority objective for the brand for the coming years.

“We cannot wait to see Ellie wear these for the first time, and the team have been working hard to ensure that these boots are fit for the best player in the World.”

The launch coincides with the build-up to the 2025 Rugby World Cup knockout stages, spotlighting Canterbury’s continued innovation and commitment to uniting communities through the game.
