PWR Mascot Race Returns

Premiership Women’s Rugby is delighted (and slightly nervous) to confirm that the official PWR Mascot Race will return for its second year at the PWR Final on Saturday 28 June.
Last year’s inaugural showdown was won in unforgettable style by Sharkie of Sale Sharks, who somehow managed to stay upright long enough to snatch the crown. This time, Sharkie faces a stampede of rivals desperate to knock the fins off the defending champ.
The rules? There aren’t many. The course? An obstacle-laden gauntlet designed for maximum chaos. Expect tripping, tumbling, oversized heads bouncing off barriers, and plenty of fur flying as mascots from across the league hurl themselves towards glory (and almost certainly the turf).
It’s bigger, sillier, and messier than ever — and only one mascot will claw their way to victory.
Who wins? Who wipes out? Who gets stuck in an obstacle? There’s only one way to find out: be there at the PWR Final, at The Twickenham Stoop, on June 28.
Reigning Mascot Race Champion Sharkie said: “I’m ready! Last year I showed what Northern grit is all about and I’m ready to defend my title. I’m sure the other mascots have been putting in the hours on the training pitch and this year’s competition will be tougher than ever but I’m ready for the challenge. The Sale support is massive, let’s go get the win! Shark Time!”
