Flo Robinson re-signs with Exeter Chiefs

Exeter Chiefs’ newest Red Rose, Flo Robinson, has signed a new contract to extend her stay at Sandy Park.

The scrum-half, who began her professional career with the club alongside her studies at the University of Exeter, will enter her fifth season with the women’s side having put pen to paper this week.

Robinson has made 80 appearances for the club and played in every PWR game for Chiefs last season having made a return to Sandy Park after spending 2023/24 with her sister Emily at Harlequins.

The 23-year-old returned to Chiefs last season with the aim of playing more games and she got her wish, forcing herself into contention for the national side. She made her long-awaited debut against Italy in the Red Roses’ recent Grand Slam-winning Guinness Women’s Six Nations. This opportunity came three years after she was denied her chance of coming off the bench due to faulty floodlights during the France v England came in 2021.

Interim head coach Steve Salvin said: “Flo’s return was most welcome last season. She is an influential player who never takes a step backwards so leads by example every time she goes onto the pitch. With that first cap under her belt and, hopefully, a chance to play in the World Cup this summer, I look forward to watching her go from strength to strength next season and beyond.”

Robinson will also be taking on a coaching role that will be shared across Exeter College and the University of Exeter.

She said: “I love Exeter. I feel very at home here alongside players I have grown up with through the university pathway. I now have the opportunity to give something back through this new coaching role and I am looking forward to getting going next season.

“Chiefs gave me the opportunity to play last season, which is all you want to do as a player. The more I play, the more I develop. With my recent exposure to the England environment, I want to continue to improve so I can contribute to what I hope will be a successful season for Chiefs in 2025/26.”
