PWR Round 2 in Numbers

Round 2 of the 2025-26 Premiership Women’s Rugby season was full of action, beginning on Saturday afternoon at Sandy Park. Exeter Chiefs hosted three-peat champions, Gloucester Hartpury, who secured two wins from two games with a 31-47 victory over the Devon side.
In their first home fixture of the season, Loughborough Lightning hosted Sale Sharks, hoping to bounce back from their Round 1 loss. Lightning produced a strong defensive performance, defeating Sharks 19-12 and earning five points.
Leicester Tigers faced a powerful Bristol Bears side, who marked their first game in the 2025-26 PWR season with a 0-74 win against Tigers.
The weekend came to a close with a London Derby at StoneX Stadium. Despite injuries causing late withdrawals for Sophie De Goede and Tori Sellors, Saracens produced a dominant performance against Harlequins. With a crowd of 3,733 fans, the game ended 47-10 to Saracens.
Bristol Bears’ Millie David was the top scorer of the round, with 20 points from four tries, making her the joint top try scorer of the season. Loughborough Lightning’s Haineala Lutui recorded eight dominant carries, making her the best carrier of the round and the season (42 combined carries).
