Red Roses Star Meg Jones Appointed Restart Rugby Trustee

Restart Rugby, the Official Players’ Charity of the Gallagher PREM and PWR, is delighted to announce the appointment of Red Roses star Meg Jones as a trustee.

Meg Jones is a standout centre for the Red Roses and a key member of the England squad that lifted the Rugby World Cup earlier this year at the Allianz Stadium. Since making her England debut in 2015 at just 18, Meg has become known for her tactical brilliance, physicality, and game-changing flair. Her performances in 2025 earned her a nomination for World Rugby Player of the Year, cementing her status as one of the sport’s elite talents.

At club level, Meg has played for some of the top sides in the women’s game, including Bristol Bears, Wasps, Leicester Tigers, and currently Trailfinders Women. Off the pitch, she is passionate about inspiring the next generation, speaking openly about resilience and personal growth. Meg’s experience, leadership, and dedication to rugby’s wider impact make her a natural fit for the Restart Rugby board of trustees.

Upon her appointment, Meg said: “I feel really honoured to become a trustee of such an amazing charity. The players are at the heart of it and to be a small part of help and change is one of the main reasons I play this game.”

Dean Curtis, Chair of the Restart Board of Trustees, said: ‘We are delighted that Meg has joined the Restart team and Board of Trustees. Meg obviously has huge experience in the game and has been an advocate of the services and support Restart provide the elite game but we are particularly pleased the qualities she brings the team as we stand behind players in some of their toughest moments.”
