Round 7 in Numbers

Round 7 of the 2025-26 Premiership Women’s Rugby season was not for the faint hearted! An actioned filled weekend with some outstanding team performances kicked off at Trailfinders Sports Club in West London. The strong home side faced a struggling Leicester Tigers, where 9 tries gave them a steady scoreline of 57-10.
Exeter Chiefs were up next, up for a challenge as they hosted Saracens at Sandy Park. Chiefs struck first, with a try from Alex Tessier giving them an early lead, one they kept until the 43rd minute! But Saracens fought back, Louise McMillan’s try put them ahead and the North London side came from behind to win a very difficult away fixture 14-24.
Harlequins returned to the Stoop in a fight against Sale Sharks, which kept fans on the edge of their seats throughout! The Sharks bit where it hurts and Rhona Lloyd scored the opener, eager to cause upset in front of Quins’ home crowd. But it was Ellie Kildunne who started the comeback for the London side, as they chiselled away at Sale’s defence. The game ended 22-17 to Harlequins, who took home all 5 points from the round.
For the final fixture of the weekend, Bristol Bears welcomed Loughborough Lightning to Shaftesbury Park. The Bears opened the scoring and kept it consistent, scoring 19 points in 29 minutes, but soon Lightning struck! Mae Sagapolu’s try gave hope to Loughborough, who scored 24 more points, winning the game 19-31.
Rosie Inman from Trailfinders Women was the top points scorer of the round, with 12 points from 6 successful conversions. Bristol Bears’ Evie Gallagher dominated the tackling this round, making 25 tackles during her time on the pitch.

- Helen Nelson (Loughborough Lightning) was the best kicker of the round, successfully converting all 5 of her place kicks.
- Sabrina Poulin (Exeter Chiefs) beat the most defenders of the round, with 7.
- Zoe Harrison (Saracens) recorded the most kick metres, with a whooping 601 made, 176m more than second place.
- Katana Howard (Sale Sharks) had the most carries of the round, with 19.
