Saracens and Bristol Bears Come Out on Top in Round 4 of the PWR Cup!

Last weekend saw two tense games in the PWR Cup, with Saracens securing an away win, beating Sale 27-14. Bristol Bears earned their second victory of the competition, defeating Loughborough Lightning 36-26 and putting themselves firmly in contention for the knockout rounds.
Heidi Pashaei-Tarighoun and Reneeqa Bonner of Bristol Bears were tied as top points scorers with Scarlett Fielding of Sale Sharks, each contributing 10 points.
Ella Lovibond of Bristol Bears recorded the most carry metres of the round, racking up 158 metres during her 78 minutes on the pitch.
Other key performances in the PWR Cup included:
- Phoebe Murray (Bristol Bears) and Sarah McKenna (Saracens) led the round in try assists, with two each.
- Bryony Field (Saracens) and Katie Childs (Sale Sharks) were the top tacklers of the round, both maintaining a 100% success rate with 21 and 19 tackles respectively.
- Haineala Lutui (Loughborough Lightning) led in carries for the second consecutive week, making 24 despite her team’s loss.
- Lizzie Duffy (Sale Sharks) topped the kick metres stats, logging 355 metres during her 80 minutes on the field.
