Sarah Bonar signs new Harlequins contract

Harlequins are delighted to confirm that Scottish international Sarah Bonar has extended her stay with the club.

Bonar has been an integral part of this Harlequins side over the last few seasons, with her experience and leadership proving to be a vital asset to the team.

The Scot has made 41 appearances so far in the Quarters and has been an integral part of the Harlequins’ pack, having joined the Club at the start of the 2021/22 season.

A flying officer in the RAF, Bonar is a key figure within the Harlequins squad, thanks to both her leadership and work rate around the field.

Bonar is thrilled to be extending her stay in TW2.

“From day one I have felt at home and a real sense of belonging in the Quarters. It’s an honour to continue representing this club and I can’t wait to continue building and playing a part in the future with this team.”

Head Coach Ross Chisholm is similarly pleased to be retaining the services of a key member of the first team squad.

“Sarah is a true Quin," he said. "She’s a great person and a brilliant rugby player. She plays with so much energy and passion and brings a real level of tactical detail to the game.”

He added: She is an excellent lineout operator and is incredibly strong defensively. We’re really excited that she will be continuing with us next season in the Quarters.”
