Haidee Head signs for Trailfinders Women as Grace Moore commits her future to the club

Trailfinders Women are delighted to announce the signing of Haidee Head, who joins from Queensland Reds Women.

Regarded as a rising star within Australian Women’s rugby, Head’s reputation as a versatile and exciting player stems from her ability across multiple positions.

More recently turning out at openside flanker, a background in sevens rugby has provided a base for Head to develop strong ball skills.

At just 21 years old, Head has already played at an elite level with the Reds, having featured in the 2023 Super Rugby Women’s Final against Fijiana Drua.

Speaking on her move, Head said:

“This is a huge opportunity for me to test myself in a new environment. The PWR has a reputation as one of the best women's comps in the world, and I can’t wait to get started and rip in.”

Head Coach, Barney Maddison commented:

“Haidee is a real talent, and at such a young age, she has the potential to grow into a top-tier player.

“We’re looking forward to working with her and seeing how she develops with us.”

I’ve loved my time at Trailfinders Women so far, and I’m really excited to continue my journey here. The squad environment is special, and I feel like I’ve developed so much as a player since joining.

Grace Moore, Trailfinders Women

Alongside the good news from down under, Trailfinders have been also delighted to announce that Grace More has committed her future to the club.

Born in Croydon, Moore initially began her career as a winger before transitioning to the back row, where her powerful ball-carrying ability has made her a constant threat.

Moore joined Trailfinders Women from Saracens ahead of last season bringing her Premiership and International experience to the group. Representing Ireland, she made her debut in the 2021 Six Nations and played a vital role in Ireland’s WXV 3 triumph and third-place finish in the 2024 Women's Six Nations.

Speaking on her extension, Moore said:

“I’ve loved my time at Trailfinders Women so far, and I’m really excited to continue my journey here. The squad environment is special, and I feel like I’ve developed so much as a player since joining.”

Head Coach, Barney Maddison, added:

“We’re delighted that Grace is staying with us. She’s made a big impact since arriving from Saracens, bringing real dynamism to our back row. Her power and skill make her a huge asset, and we’re excited to see her continue to thrive here.”
